In conjunction with the International Olive Oil Council - a United Nations organisation headquartered in Madrid - the Association conducts a Monitoring Program in which olive oils sold in Australia are periodically sampled and sent to accredited laboratories for analysis. Action is taken when results show that an oil is not true to label.
The Monitoring Agreement which follows includes the following information :
